Williams Consulting has extensive experience with 802.11 Wi-Fi networking as well as satellite and cellular experience.
As principal engineer for the Wi-Fi Alliance, Mr Williams led establishment of certification standards and oversaw product testing to those standards.
Satellite communications experience includes design and implementation of specialized protocols for routing Internet traffic through routers based on satellites.
Mr. Williams is also a named inventor on two patents related to wireless protocols.
Williams Consulting has also a lead developer of a wireless-to-the-home predecessor to Wi-Max.
Williams Consulting has been instrumental in development and launch of combined Wi-FI and Cellular phones in conjunction with T-Mobile. This included participation in the standards group, working with manufacturers to implement and test to the standards, establishing testing standards, development of testing facilities, and development of authentication and authorization software.
